Stressed? Exhausted?
In our fast paced lives, stress can lead to increased illness, fatigue, and rapid aging.
Protect yourself by nourishing and replenishing your adrenals now! |

What are the adrenals?
In mammals, the adrenal glands (also known as suprarenal glands) are endocrine glands that sit atop the kidneys. The adrenals are responsible for many things in the body. They are chiefly responsible for:
- Maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance
- Coping with inflammation
- Releasing stress hormones (ie. cortisol and adrenaline)
- Sustaining energy throughout the day

Stress Hormones
Stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline are produced and regulated by the adrenal glands. They are created to help the body to deal with stressful situations by increasing the heart rate and the force of contraction and blood flow to the heart, liver, skeletal and adipose tissue. They also dilate airways to the lungs and increase blood levels of glucose and fatty acids. Stress hormones and their effects are linked to virtually every body system. Thus, many physiological processes and bodily functions, including cardiovascular health, sex drive, pH balance, skin conditions, energy levels, mood and overall psychological outlook often correlate to adrenal gland function.
Don’t Let Stress Drain Your Adrenals
Today’s stressful lifestyles and poor “fast-food” dietary habits have a cumulative stressful effect on the adrenal glands. In fact under this stressful modern lifestyle, the hormones that were meant to be released in large squirts during serious life threatening situations (ie a bear is chasing you) are being released more frequently and continuously leading to serious adrenal exhaustion. When your body is under chronic stress, the adrenals can tire out from the constant demand for stress hormones. Your ability to respond to stress well is directly affected by adrenal function. It directly affects your level of muscular strength, blood sugar levels, energy levels and sense of well being.
Other Causes of Adrenal Weakness:
- Infection/poor function of kidneys
- High protein consumption (esp. red meat)
- Heavy metal toxicity (from silver fillings, etc.)
- Toxic liver (liver unable to process toxicity so kidneys become overburdened).
Signs of Adrenal Fatigue
- Difficulty getting going in the morning
- Chronic constipation and hard, small, pellet-like stool
- Weight gain around the belly
- Not sleeping well
- Low libido
- High blood sugar and high blood pressure
- Mood and memory issues
- Difficulty responding to stressors (easily overwhelmed)
For Basic Health the Adrenals Need:
- Enough water. Drink half your body’s weight in ounces of water.
- Enough Salt. Healthy, unprocessed salt with all the minerals intact. Check out our Pink Salt, Premier 12 oz Granules which is air dried, pure and tasty!
- Sufficient Alkaline Minerals. Especially magnesium. In adrenal stress, there is a continual, wholesale magnesium excretion from the body. In these cases, no matter how much magnesium is consumed, magnesium levels will often continue to be low. In these instances, we suggest Magnesium Glycinate, Quantum 50 Vcaps
- Adequate B vitamins. The adrenals need enough B vitamins, especially Vitamin B6 to make adrenaline. Check out Max Stress B Vitamin, 2oz Liquid for a non-synthetic, live source vitamin B supplement.
- Sleep. The adrenals need at least one session of 5 consecutive hours of sleep per night without getting up. Any less breaks the cycle of adrenaline production. Then it snowballs from there. (If you wake up, but don’t get up and don’t lift your head off the pillow more than a foot that counts).
Any deficiency of the above can be the underlying cause of weak or exhausted adrenals. While you replenish these deficiencies take Adrenal Complex Quantum 60Vcap which provides dramatic help for burned out adrenals and promotes optimal adrenal function.
In addition to supplementation, your adrenals can be supported tremendously by using the Earthing Premium Starter Kit while sleeping and working. Circadian rhythms including adrenal hormones and sleep cycles are regulated largely by electrical signals from the Earth only accessible by being grounded directly to the earth. |
