Depression is quite common in this day and age with millions of Americans on anti-depressants. We would like to share other ways of relating to and dealing with depression. There is such a profound link between nutrition and depression. Many people are shocked to hear just how intimately nutrition affect our mood that we were inspired to make this information available to you in the form of this newsletter! |
| |
First, let us see if we can come to some basic agreements about the body.
Would you agree with these statements?
1. What I eat affects me.
2. If the body is sick, the mood is depressed.
3. If I consume a drug, it affects my mood.
4. If I overeat I get sleepy.
5. I feel uplifted if I drink fresh vegetable juice
6. I feel lousy if I eat a lot of junk food.
So, perhaps more of us can agree: What we eat affects our mood.
|
| |
| The first step in evading a trap is, knowing that it exists. Knowing that what we eat affects our state and mood, not only leaves room to avoid certain foods, but also gives a hint to the opposite: How to be outrageously healthy and feeling great with a great mood! |
| |
To understand the brain, the nerves and the foods we eat, let’s look at these models: |
 |
This is a basic nerve cell. The brain itself is composed of billions of these fellows. Very few of them grow new and most are established within the first 5-7 years of life.
Modern science says: Intelligence is not so much a factor of how many nerve cells we have, but a factor of the complexity of the nerve cell’s connections.
As you can see from this image, the cell has the ability to weave itself into a complex web of connection and communicate with many other nerves in the brain. |
|
| |
Let us take a moment and look at the way the nerves talk to each other.
It is widely thought that nerves communicate through electrical impulses. But truth be told less than 1% of the cells communicate though electrical means. The rest of the cells communicate through “chemical” means.
To be more specific than “chemical” we would suggest little proteins called neurotransmitters. We have heard of many types of neurotransmitters: dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, etc. |
 |
|
| |
Since the actual communication happens through little proteins, we might consider the quality and amount of protein we eat to be of vital importance. |
 |
This is a computer model of a protein. This isn’t a neurotransmitter but we wanted to show the delicate complexity of a protein.
We are suggesting that this delicate form would not survive being cooked or manage to maintain its form, function or vitality. |
|
Raw living protein is vital for neurotransmitter abundance and health. We offer many protein supplements; the most abundant in protein is our Nutritional Yeast. Given we are asked many questions about our yeast we would like to share the following:
- Our yeast is grown on molasses, not petroleum residue, farm wastes, like other producers.
- Nutritional yeast is not living. It has been processed in such a way as to kill the living yeast and deliver its vital nutritional components.
- Nutritional yeast is not like Candida, nor does it support the growth of Candida. Since Nutritional yeast is already dead and a completely difference species. It tends to feed our good bacteria morso.
- We have nitrogen flushed Nutritional yeast, removing the oxygen and brining to you the freshest.
- Nutritional yeast is 50% protein by weight and very rich in the B vitamins, pure nerve food!

Fatty Lipids and Oils,
The communication channels that all the nerves communicate through, the long arms that reach to the furthest corners of our bodies are protected and insulated.
The insulation that is used, we call a “Myelin Sheath,” is made of fat! Is there a better insulator? The higher quality and full spectrum oil we eat the better our nerves can communicate.
For great nerve communication we recommend or EFA Oil Blend and our extra rich Coconut oil. |
 |
|
| |
And now for our next magic trick, the vital role of minerals and the nerve communication. |
 |
Figure 1. This is the small gap where two nerves communicate to each other.
In this gap if the top nerve needs to send its message to the bottom nerve, this is where it happens. |
| |
 |
Figure 2. Release of neurotransmitter
The sending nerve sends its package of neurotransmitters out to stimulate the receiving nerve. |
| |
 |
Figure 3. Reuptake of neurotransmitter chemical
Once this is completed, calcium ions and a few other minerals help the sending nerve reabsorb the neurotransmitters.
This way the calcium cleans up the gap for the next message and recycles the neurotransmitters. |

This entire fundamental functionality is based on
1. The richness and abundance of the neurotransmitter: adequate living source proteins.

Beyond the crucial fundamental nutrients there are others products that aid in addressing depression by giving you key antioxidant support, detoxification, repair and energy of the cell as well as other important qualities.
Max Stress B Vitamin, is a first line anti-depressive complex. It is known for maximum stress Support, anti aging, instantaneous energy boost, brain rejuvenation, heart and liver health and mood balance. The worlds first live source B vitamins that are highly active and in end chain form which means the body doesn’t have to break anything down (as it does with synthetic forms) to get it to the form that the body needs it in order to use it instantly.
DHLA Nano-Plex is great for brain chemistry support. The most powerful antioxidant capable of quenching every know free radical to occur in living tissue. Repairs DNA strand breaks. Increases ATP process. DHLA also features resveratrol which clears up 60% of cellular DNA debris.
Super Nano Green Tea has natural anti-depressive and anti-aging qualities. It is a powerful antioxidant able to penetrate very deeply into where free radicals hang out. Provides energy lift and a sense of wellbeing. Other benefits are protection from radiation damage, supporting radiant skin, fat reduction, connective tissue, full stomach function, and boosts immunity. |
| |
| Depression may also be linked to brain infection, weak adrenal, vitamin B deficiency, toxic liver, digestive dysfunction, heavy metal toxicity. There are medical drugs that interfere with brain function and cause depression. |
